OK, so Britt's a 'Days' fan and I have to admit the show is WAY amusing. She was looking up her horoscope on their site and here's the amusing parts from mine. Some of it's pretty accurate.
Quality: Mutable (What?)
Body Parts: Feet (Mine are OK I guess)
Keyword: SUBCONSCIOUS
Date with destiny: Cancer, Scorpio
Run for the hills: Gemini, Sagittarius
Where you glow: Helping others
What makes you tick: Writing poetry (Um, no...try again)
Fitness forecast: Meditation (Heck yeah!)
Play date: Going to the theatre (SO TRUE)
Perfect jobs: TV producer, bartender
A sure thing: Taking in stray animals
Pleasure: Romance, helping others, compassion
Pain: Reality, mean people, insensitivity (Best part of this whole thing is that my pain is reality)
What's my line? Make love not war. (THe opposite of War isn't Peace, it's Creation!-RENT)
And now, Da da da! Here's the info on my relationship according to 'Days': The Highlights
Pisces + Aquarius
When Aquarius and Pisces join together in a love match, there is much compassion and creation. These partners are idealistic as individuals as well as they are together. Pisces flows with their dream-like surroundings, and Aquarius is constantly coming up with new inventions and ways of doing things. This relationship digs deep for the truth of the matter at hand, and both partners are always looking for solutions to problems. They both tend to be introspective. Aquarius can often be quick to judge those who don't share their vision, while Pisces is often too compassionate, even for those who don't necessarily deserve it.
Aquarius and Pisces make very good friends as well as excellent lovers. Problems are rare, but sometimes Aquarius can be too intellectual and aloof for Pisces, and Pisces may at times be too self-sacrificing and gullible for the Aquarian taste. Sometimes different reactions to a situation may cause a cavern between the two; Aquarius is quick to dismiss those who don't agree with their opinions, and Pisces takes on others' issues too quickly. On some occasion, the pair will have conflicts, but these partners can forgive and forget easily.

Friday was my last night of working at the Museum. Feels weird, like it's not my museum anymore. I'll never be behind the scenes again. New people will come to work there, and I won't know them. I looked around campus as I was walking to an opening at SoFA after work, and it's just so beautiful here. Especially in Spring. I'll miss that.
Thursday was my last day of classes. FINALLY. My last undergrad classes EVER. That made me feel excited. Like it was time to celebrate.
Haven't started my finals, don't really care. I'm ready for "the real world." But at the same time, I don't really want to be in it yet. I don't want to have a job, and budget, and all that. I think I'll feel good when I do have all of that, but for now I'm tired!
BTW-Brittany and I could totally sing that "If we were a movie" Hannah Montana song without any mistakes. Watched the dance along version of High School Musical tonight with Britt, Court and Chrissy after the art opening. We're losers. But I like us. Time for bed!
Well, here I am. I think I'm ready. |

Congratulate me! I'm actually doing work! Seriously! I'm getting more and more of the dumb project done each day. I'm not really freaking about it, but I still feel bad each time it's hard to write. It was a rough start today, but at least I'm doing something.

It's getting harder each day to be in school. Last night I got pretty depressed about it. I'm just so tired of it all. I want a job, and free weekends, and relaxing evenings, and to be with Dan FINALLY! I'm just over all of this college stuff. I mean seriously a 30 page exhibition proposal due at the end of the semester the same week as the last exam. What is she thinking?

So here I am worn out, drowsy, lethargic, sleepy, any synonym of tired possible and really not wanting to do anything regarding school. I'm just done! I'd rather write, or draw, or play a game. Last week I got lucky and my classes were canceled when I was tired. So my mom suggested checking my email and sure enough class canceled! It was like a crazy miracle. It's been happening so often lately. God totally has my back. I'm not sure why, maybe I'm a better person than I thought.

It was spring, I know it was. There were huge robins (orange breasted-Indiana’s weird) and five black tailed deer in our little back yard between two complexes. I saw flurries this morning and it hailed on Tuesday!
When it was still spring, April 1st, we had a totally kick-a cookout. Britt called it our Spring Kickoff Cookout on the facebook invite. Cute, right? It was a total success. 30 of our coolest friends (that go to IU), teriyaki chicken, burgers, and hot dogs cooked on my fantastic charcoal Weber. I was so proud of myself. The chicken was just as good as my Dad’s! When I first lit the coals, the flame was huge! Way too big for our little terrace, but nothing was burnt, and then I used my grillin’ skills. It was a fantastic time. I’m really glad we did it before I graduate. Even Jeff came over and invited me and Sarah to his Seder. It was an interesting mix of Jews, Christians, fabulous gay men, and others I just can’t put into a tight group. I think that’s part of why it was good, everyone was different. After almost everyone cleared out, (the food was almost gone) Stacey came over and my main group of girls watched some home videos of us. Sarah and Jade did this hilarious version of sign language “Dirty Pop” that I have to put on Youtube!
That night I paid for all of the sugary goodness I ate, and that half a hot dog. Crazy pain that threw me into a panic. Yeah, good job Shaina. But luckily I have friends who’ll come over at midnight and stay up with me for hours until I can sleep. I was so worried about waking Brittany cause she had to work the next day, but I was pretty scared. The pain was so bad I wanted to get some help. I wish I could go to a hospital and they could just take everything bad out of my body, give me some pain killers, sleeping pills, and send me on my way. Is that what they do if you have Crohn’s? Man, I’m glad I don’t have that or gluten intolerance…I love bread. Anyway, I’m feeling better each day and I just thank god for Sarah, and Jade, and Brittany. They were too cute with popsicles, wash rags, a fan, and me crawling on the floor. So, I’m pretty lucky. I bet Dan’s really excited to go through an episode with me.
Can’t wait to graduate, but at least I’m having fun with the time I have left.

Yesterday truly was the fist day of Spring here in B-Town. The sun was shining, there was a light breeze, and true to IU form it was hovering around 80 when it hasn't hit 70 in months. There was even a mild mannered Bible rally. Brittany, Jess, and I watch The Holiday, which was cute, for free. I was even happy with the decisions I made, which is an achievement for me. But, that was yesterday, lovely yesterday. (Although I did wear the worst flip-flops ever and get horribly painful blisters. It's still hard to walk properly.)
But today, it's raining. It's cold and it's raining. It's overcast, cold, and raining! I forgot to study for a test and totally blanked on a paper due today I hadn't started yet. I feel just awful and I'm not sure how I managed not to crawl into a ball while I was running around late for a work meeting this morning.
May tomorrow be a yesterday...and when I say yesterday, I don't mean some nostalgic elementary school age, I seriously mean yesterday.

So, I get off the last plane on Friday. By the way really bad pilot, bouncing up and down like a roller coaster. Anyway, I'm looking around the baggage claim trying to figure out where to go for the shuttle back to campus, and as I look around there are my parents! Yeah, they drove all the way out to Indy to take me back to Bloomington. We were all so sad about not getting to see eachother over this break. I was so excited! I really miss them when I'm here, and it made leaving Dan a lot easier. We drove back to B-town, picked up Sarah, and had a fun dinner. We've done that many times since college began, it was nice to do it now so close before graduating. I can't even express how happy I was to see them. Guess I got everything I wanted for my Birthday and Spring Break.
I actually went out last night. I was planning on staying in and sitting on my butt watching 80's movies, but I figureed what the hell! So I went with Sarah to Yogi's at like 11. Oh yeah, I went out after 10 o'clock for the second time EVER! We met Sarah K., the girls Sarah went on the cruise with, and Gary who went to high school with Beth and Carey. I've heard about him before and he seems to know everyone so it was good to finally meet him. Sarah's friends were hillarious and I'm glad I went out with them. It was St. Patty's day so I needed to do something.
Now that I'm back, I'm back to my old state of mind too. I've been pretty happy-go-lucky and now, I don't want to do anything. Senioritis all over again. Only 7 weeks. I'll be back in Rochester in two months.

So, Dan warned me it may snow while I'm here. Instead I brought pretty good weather. It's been hovering around 50 and it's even been sunny a few days! But now that it's near the end of the week, the cold weather is returning. It may even be 20 degrees and snowing this Saturday. I'll have left on Friday so I don't think that's a coincidence.
I've had a lot of fun hanging out with Dan's friends this week. Of course Weiyang is hilarious, but I've had fun with his roommate Chris too. Chris likes to put random animals around the house and I named them. Squirrel Nutkin guards the microwave. The Triceratops in the living room has yet to be named. It's been a long time since I've hung out with so many guys. I forgot how amusing they are. There's the Steves, Chris, Weiyang, Anthony, Eric, Mike who I confused with Brandon who's black and Jewish which I think rocks. Anyway, the guys are fun. It took a bit for us all to get used to each other but now I'm acting like myself.
It's been a week of good jokes, hugs, Jeopardy, Entourage, The West Wing, and just a wonderful time. I don't even want to go back to B-town. Right now, I'm sitting in Java with Weiyang and Anthony while Dan's in class. We're just doing work like I would at school with Sarah at Starbucks. Too bad Dan and I can't put our world's together.

This is the crazy system the boys set up so they can play Wii and watch DVDs at the same time. Ah, tech school boys.

I am now the proud owner of an 8 gig Ipod Nano! Dan got it for me for my Birthday. I'm totally excited about it and now of course I want accessories like a colored cover and the perfect earphones. He also gave me West Bank Story. This years' winner of the Oscar for live action short. You can probably guess what it's about. Just incase you're Israel-ignorant a Jew boy falls in love with a Palestinian girl, and they sing. I'm way excited about it.
So it's my second day in Rochester with Dan, and I'm lovin' being here. Minus the cold and overcastness that is the sky in this city. His friends should be coming back tomorrow, so I'm excited to meet them. Especially since I already know a lot of personal things about them. Today, we went to the market and bought some fresh salmon for dinner. We wanted to see the lady the makes Ecuadorian socks, but she wasn't there. Maybe when I come back this Spring. Then I can buy a bunch of bouties for everyone. I just like that word.
Mostly we've been watching The West Wing, which I now adore. I love witty banter. Plus I like fluffy (Bradley Whitford). So even if they get rid of Studio 60, I'll always be able to watch fluffy on TWW or in Billy Madison. But he's jerky in that movie and hilarious with groupies in TWW, so yeah way better. Anyway, have to get back to relaxing with Dan, which is probably my favorite thing to do.

And Now Here's How I Feel About The Big Questions After Almost 22 Years:
Is there a God/Superior Being? Why yes, I believe there is. No gender, no body, no way we'll ever understand it, but yes. There's so many unexplainable things in this world. There has to be.
Karma? Heck ya there is! And it's watching my back!
Are we evolving? Physically, yes. Just look at clothes from hundreds of years ago. People were way shorter. I would have fit in just fine in the 1600s. Mentally, nope. That stopped a while ago.

Well I'll be 22 in just a few days. That's a pretty adult age. Far from being a teen. With that and graduating I feel like maybe my life is in for a lot of changes. I used to think that when I became certain ages I would change a lot. Like at 16, I thought I would suddenly get more beautiful, and I thought I would be more mature at 21, but I never really changed that much. I tend to feel my age only when I'm about to have another birthday. So, today I feel 21.

Well I think Spring is finally on the way. Wednesday morning birds started singing around 6 and didn't stop all morning. It won't officially be Spring until I see a Red-Breasted Robin on campus. Then, there was this awful thunderstorm very early yesterday morning, like at 3:30! The thunder was like nothing I've ever heard before. It was like there was a gigantic cart being pulled over a shifty tile floor with a really heavy load right outside my window, Bump, Bump, Grumble, Grumble, GRUMBLE! I think I now understand when Nordic peoples thought that thunder was people bowling in the sky.
It feels good to be done with mid-term exams and to have internship applications on their way. Now I have to finish the right, and then wait. Waiting may be hard.
Going out for Sushi at our favorite place with Sarah and Jade tonight. Haven't done that in SO long. We used to go every week. It will be good to do something traditional. Then we're having a quiet evening of ANTM!! I'm way excited.

It was just supposed to rain today, then it turned into a thunderstorm, then thunder-ice, and now it's snowing!
Went to the library yesterday with Brittany and Courtney to take back some movies and we got some more including three episodes of "Faerie Tale Theatre" from the 1980s!! Anybody remember those with Shelley Duvall? Last night we watched "Aladdin and His Wonderful Lamp" with Darth Vader as the Genie! Guess who was Aladdin? The main geek from "Revenge of Nerds" who was later Lizzie McGuire's dad. Yeah how does a geek become Aladdin or vice versa? It was directed by Tim Burton so it was kinda creepy.
We also watched "The Swan Princess." I'd never seen it before and it was totally funny. I mean a frog named Jean Bob and a Princess who's feisty. Doesn't get much better than that! Except for when we watched "Quest for Camelot." That movie rocked! It was totally making fun of Disney, and the women in the movie kicked butt! Plus it's about Camelot so that in itself makes it cool. Cary Elwes plays this blind hermit, which is so weird for a fairy tale cartoon. I mean with a character like that you know some crazy awesome people were involved. THen I hear the voice of Eric Idle! I recognized the "walk this way" Monty Python running gag earlier in the film, so I was way excited to hear his voice. Totally great movie. A must have!Plus Pierce Brosnan is Arthur. James Bond = Arthur = hotness. Dan, Superman's theme song is in the movie! I recognized it immediately.
Now I have to work on cover letters. Scarey! But when I'm done I can watch more fairy tales!

OK, so I'm totally caring salt with me everywhere I go now! Our parking lot is a big sheet of thick ice. I was carefully making my way out to Sarah's car tonight and WHOOSH...I went down. So Sarah sticks her head out of the car: "Honey, are you OK? You kinda fell sideways." Yeah, I always fall sideways, SPLAT...or on my butt, but usually sideways on my knees. My left foot always slips from under me. Still hurts a little.
Anyway, tonight was another Starbucks Sarah Study Session. I love my Sarah time. I felt so tired and spacey tonight. It was just blah, which is a little silly cause it's the first warm day we've had in a while. But I really wanted to get some work done and Sarah as the best work ethic of almost anyone I know! We always discuss funny things, and do work, and discuss serious things, and do work, and then discuss just whatever. Tonight, I told her I worked on writing a script for our TV Show. I'm thinking Young Yentes or Bubby Babble, something like that. Anyway, I think I'm going to start caring a tape recorder with me so that I can really capture all of the insane things we say. Then once we have a good script, we need to test it on people who won't automatically laugh at our old lady Jewish humor. Maybe Andy's friends. They're loud and crazy and therefore a little intimidating.
Sometimes when I'm with Sarah, I miss home. I miss Claire and pickles, I miss Dani's laugh. Today I thought of my fondest memories for some reason and the top ones were food and music related:
Dad with peanut butter and Saltines
Mom kneading dough
The Beatles-Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, When I'm 64
Paul Simon and Dancing-You Can Call Me Al
I've really enjoyed college, but I wonder what I'll remember from it ten years from now besides my social security number. The creepy way Brittany says my name when she's tired, the silly quotes, Courtney's goofy cry-laugh thing, Jessica's face when she's thinking really hard, Sarah's voice and her patented catch phrases?
Maybe I'll just remember Domo sushi, Mother Bear's cheese bread, and Apache Brass:
"Hoosiers! Jump on it! Jump on it!"

Dinner was fun last night. Our burgers weren't like my dad's, but it was our first try. Turkey's tricky. Sarah brought Sarah K. over. I really like her cause she's so funny, but she does make the decibel level of the room go up drastically. So that's hard for people who aren't as rambunctious. You have to fight to get a whole story told with how loud and talky we all get.
I now have a library card for the other B-Town. It's a fantastic Library. I could have spent hours there. Brittany and I stayed in the children's section the whole time since that was where the books we needed were. They had tons of different versions of fairy tales. As we were leaving to check-out our books, we looked at the youth movies. Being the totally cool people that we are, we ended up checking-out four movies: A Muppet Family Christmas with the muppets, AND the gang from Sesame Street, AND the Fraggles (Brittany's favorite Xmas movie and apparently many other's favorite as well), a Children's Circle movie with two Jewish Folk Tales that I remember from when I was little (I swear I had the same tape), The Babysitters Club movie cause Sarah's never seen it, and the first season of Pete & Pete. Sarah, Sarah K., Courtney, Chrissy and I watch the BSC movie last night. We're pretty awesome.
Watched a couple of episodes of Pete & Pete this morning. Wow, that show's crazy. It's like something my buddy's from high school would have made...while we were in high school! But I had fun watching it.
I've promised myself to work on cover letters before Monday, but I don't wanna.
P.S. Who else thinks that the girl muppet in the band is a trany?(Janice: blonde hair, Cher moves, and I've been puffin' the magic dragon all day eyes)

- Most bottles and jars contain at least twenty-five percent recycled Shaina.
- The Asteroid Belt between Mars and Jupiter is made entirely of Shaina.
- Shaina is only six percent water.
- You should always store Shaina in an airtight container in the fridge!
- During severe windstorms, Shaina may sway several feet to either side.
- To check whether Shaina is safe to eat, drop her in a bowl of water; rotten Shaina will sink, and fresh Shaina will float!
